Job Summary of Manufacturing Coordinator:

This role involves reporting to the Manufacturing Coordinator and overseeing the department's production activities and benchmarks. The key responsibilities include improving operational outcomes by meeting deadlines, managing costs, and overseeing inventory levels to drive continuous enhancement. The position entails directing and organizing tasks linked to the production of company products.

Responsibilities of Manufacturing Coordinator:

  • Manages and directs production activities to maximize operational effectiveness and output
  • Examines, develops, and enforces techniques, protocols, and assessments to eliminate operational obstacles and boost product superiority.
  • Undertakes responsibility for the expenses, techniques, operations, quality, and volume of output.
  • Adjusts production schedules and priorities due to problems with equipment functioning or operational hindrances.
  • Works with managers to establish standards for production and quality control, gathers data on quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Encourages teamwork, values high-quality work, expects self-motivation, and ensures tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Regularly communicates with team members throughout the shift to keep them informed
  • Scrutinize and confirm that daily production reports are correct and fully documented
  • Conform to the established guidelines for production, shipping and receiving, and sanitation practices
  • Ensure the facility is inspected daily at the start of every shift
  • Track and communicate the attendance status of staff members during their shifts
  • Monitor the quantities of raw materials and finished goods through weekly and monthly inventory tasks.
  • Completes other relevant tasks as assigned

Requirements of Manufacturing Coordinator:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
  • Ability to lead team members in a fast-paced production atmosphere
  • Good time management skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS office
  • High School diploma or GED, Preferred associate degree
  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing supervisor experience
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
